Preparation
- Preheat the Grill. Prepare your grill for medium direct heat, aiming for about 400–450°F.
- Skewer the Hot Dogs. Carefully skewer each hot dog lengthwise with a wooden skewer and spiral cut around the hot dog.
- Apply Cooking Spray. Lightly spritz each spiral-cut hot dog with the avocado oil spray.
- Grill the Hot Dogs. Place your spiral-cut hot dogs on the grill and cook for about 5–7 minutes.
- Toast the Buns. Optionally, toast the insides of your hot dog buns on the grill for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Serve with Toppings. Nestle the grilled hot dogs into the toasted buns and load them up with toppings.
