Ingredients

For the Yogurt Base
  • 2 cups Plain unsweetened yogurt Substitution: Greek yogurt can create a thicker texture, or coconut yogurt works well for lactose-sensitive pups.
For the Blueberry Swirl
  • 1 cup Fresh or frozen blueberries Substitution: Feel free to swap with other dog-safe fruits like strawberries or ripe bananas for a fruity twist.
For Added Sweetness (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey If your dog is on a low sugar diet, feel free to omit this ingredient.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • mixing bowl
  • Silicone Molds or Ice Cube Tray

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by placing your fresh or frozen blueberries in a blender or food processor. Blend them on high speed until you achieve a smooth puree, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Next, scoop plain unsweetened yogurt into a mixing bowl. Stir the yogurt gently until it’s creamy and free of lumps.
  3. Carefully spoon the prepared yogurt into silicone molds or an ice cube tray, filling each section to about three-quarters full.
  4. Dollop a spoonful of the blueberry puree on top of each yogurt-filled section to create swirls.
  5. Using a toothpick or small skewer, gently swirl the blueberry puree into the yogurt.
  6. Place the filled molds in the freezer and let them freeze for about 3 to 4 hours, or until solid.
  7. Once fully frozen, remove the molds from the freezer and run warm water over the outside of the molds to release the treats.
