Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side, then remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced mushrooms and onion until softened, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute while stirring continuously.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scrape the browned bits from the bottom. Return chicken, letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream without boiling. Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve immediately over noodles or rice.
