  • 6 slices Bacon Crisp up in skillet.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated for a creamy texture.
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Use a mild variety.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar Regular vinegar is an alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Omit for less sweetness.
  • to taste Salt & Pepper Essential for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Use minced fresh for more flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Alternatively, use fresh minced onion.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, approximately 8-10 minutes. Drain and cool.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towel.
  3. In a bowl, combine cooled pasta, crumbled bacon, peas, and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Whisk together mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, and sugar in another bowl. Add seasonings to taste.
  5. Pour dressing over pasta mixture and toss gently to coat well.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Before serving, give the salad a stir and garnish with bacon and dressing if desired.
