- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and arrange four oven-safe cereal bowls upside down on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Wait until the oil shimmers.
- Fry one tortilla in the skillet for 30-45 seconds on each side until puffed and golden brown. Flip carefully with tongs.
- Transfer the fried tortilla onto one of the prepared bowls and gently press down to mold it without deflating.
- Repeat the frying and shaping process with the remaining tortillas, working quickly to keep them warm.
- Bake the shaped bowls in the oven for 9-10 minutes until very crispy and slightly golden, keeping an eye on them.
- Allow the tortilla bowls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before filling them with desired toppings.
