Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and arrange four oven-safe cereal bowls upside down on a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Wait until the oil shimmers.
  3. Fry one tortilla in the skillet for 30-45 seconds on each side until puffed and golden brown. Flip carefully with tongs.
  4. Transfer the fried tortilla onto one of the prepared bowls and gently press down to mold it without deflating.
  5. Repeat the frying and shaping process with the remaining tortillas, working quickly to keep them warm.
  6. Bake the shaped bowls in the oven for 9-10 minutes until very crispy and slightly golden, keeping an eye on them.
  7. Allow the tortilla bowls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before filling them with desired toppings.
