  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese can use Monterey Jack or pepper jack
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Green Onions can substitute with diced regular onions
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots or replace with any finely chopped veggies
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning or use chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or can use fresh minced garlic
For the Wrapping & Frying
  • 12 pieces Egg Roll Wrappers spring roll wrappers can be used
  • 3 cups Vegetable Oil peanut or canola oil also works

Step-by-Step Instructions for Voodoo Egg Rolls
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat, adding the ground beef to cook for 5–7 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Sprinkle the cooked ground beef with Cajun seasoning and garlic powder, mixing well. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Combine the cooled beef mixture with shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, and carrots in a mixing bowl.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, place 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the center, and fold the bottom over the filling.
  5. Roll tightly towards the top, sealing edges with water. Ensure they are tightly sealed.
  6. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Test with a small piece of wrapper to check readiness.
  7. Fry egg rolls in small batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces like spicy mayo or sweet chili sauce.
