  • 2 medium Cucumbers English or Persian recommended
  • 1 medium Red Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 pint Cherry/Grape Tomatoes halved
  • 6 slices Thick-Cut Beef Bacon or turkey bacon
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Chives optional
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk or milk and vinegar blend
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice fresh juice preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Dill
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse and peel cucumbers, slice into 1/4-inch rounds, and sprinkle with salt, allowing to drain for 15 minutes.
  2. Thinly slice red onion and halve cherry or grape tomatoes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), buttermilk, and lemon juice until creamy.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble into pieces.
  6. Shred sharp cheddar cheese and chop fresh dill and chives.
  7. In a large bowl, combine cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and cheese, gently tossing together.
  8. Pour dressing over salad mixture, toss to coat, and chill for 15-30 minutes before serving.
