Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons of instant coffee granules in 1 cup of hot water. Stir until fully dissolved and set aside to cool.
  2. Crush half of the Oreo cookies (about 12) in a zip-top bag. Layer half of the crushed cookies evenly at the bottom of your serving dish.
  3. Beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, along with ¼ cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of powdered sugar, on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 package of instant chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of whole milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  5. Fold the cream cheese mixture into the thickened chocolate pudding until no white streaks remain. Stir in the cooled coffee mixture.
  6. Gently fold 8 ounces of whipped topping into the combined pudding and cream cheese mixture.
  7. Spoon the pudding mixture over the layer of crushed Oreos in your serving dish. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
