Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, salt, and other dry ingredients and stir well.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth and add water, maple syrup, nut butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and fold until everything is fully incorporated.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Optionally sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the bars rest inside for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, cool for a few minutes, and then slice into bars while still warm.
