Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the chicken by combining sliced chicken with Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by whisking together chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, white pepper, and sesame oil.
  3. Cook the chow mein noodles in boiling water according to package instructions and then rinse with cold water.
  4. Heat peanut oil in a skillet and cook the marinated chicken until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
  5. Stir-fry minced garlic and ginger in the same skillet until fragrant.
  6. Add shredded cabbage and julienned carrots, stir-fry until they begin to soften.
  7. Combine the cooked chicken and chow mein noodles with the sauce, and toss everything gently to combine.
