Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Slice the flank or skirt steak against the grain into thin strips, about ¼ inch thick. Marinate with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together chicken stock, Shaoxing wine, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch to prepare the sauce.
  3. Steam the broccoli for 4-5 minutes until bright green and just tender. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sear the marinated beef in a hot skillet for about 2 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another minute. Add garlic and ginger for the last 30 seconds.
  5. Return the steamed broccoli to the skillet and add the sauce, stirring gently to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
