  • 1 cup Chocolate Melts Opt for Ghirardelli for quality.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Let it soften at room temperature.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
For Decoration
  • 1 bunch Fresh Rosemary For festive touch.
  • 1 cup Cranberries Adds color and flavor.

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Sift in the chocolate cake mix and gently fold until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 27-30 minutes.
  5. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Slice the cooled cake in half horizontally.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, gradually adding vanilla extract and powdered sugar.
  8. Spread the whipped cream filling over the bottom half of the cake and replace the top half.
  9. Melt chocolate melts with heavy cream, then mix with softened butter, vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  10. Frost the assembled cake with the chocolate ganache buttercream.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar and decorate with rosemary and cranberries.
  12. Slice, serve, and enjoy your holiday dessert!
