Preparation Steps
- Wash 1 cup of strawberries under cold water, pat dry, remove stems, and slice them into 1/4 inch pieces.
- Select your preferred sliced bread and lay out two slices on a cutting board.
- Spread a generous layer of cream cheese or whipped cream on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the strawberry slices on top of the cream-covered side of one slice of bread.
- Drizzle honey or sprinkle powdered sugar over the strawberries if desired.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, cream side down, and gently press together.
- Slice the assembled sandwich into halves or quarters and serve.
