Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold a sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Brush melted butter generously over the entire surface of the pastry.
  4. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered pastry.
  5. Fold the pastry in half lengthwise and slice into 1-inch strips.
  6. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of each twist with egg wash and sprinkle coarse sugar on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
