Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces and soak bamboo skewers in water.
  2. Whisk together marinade ingredients until sugar dissolves.
  3. Marinate chicken pieces for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F.
  5. Assemble skewers by threading chicken and green onions, leaving space between pieces.
  6. Grill skewers for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through.
  7. Brush skewers with reserved marinade in the final minutes of grilling.
  8. Let skewers rest for a few minutes before serving and garnish with green onions.
