Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce use coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey maple syrup can substitute
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil or use olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked preferred
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked paprika offers deeper flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes omit for less heat
Kabobs
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak cut into 1-1½ inch cubes
  • 1 pound large shrimp raw, preferably
  • 2 cups vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk together all marinade ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Cut steak into cubes and divide shrimp into a bowl. Marinate both proteins with half of the marinade each.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (400°F).
  5. Assemble kabobs by threading steak, shrimp, and vegetables onto skewers.
  6. Grill kabobs for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked, shrimp turned opaque and pink.
  7. Remove from grill and let rest; garnish with parsley or cilantro and serve.
