Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, ½ teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of red pepper flakes along with 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. Blend until creamy and uniform, allowing the flavors to meld for about 5 minutes while you chop the vegetables.
  2. Dice 4 cups of iceberg lettuce, slice 1 cup of cherry tomatoes in half, and finely chop ½ small red onion. If desired, swap red onion for green onions. Slice ½ cup of banana peppers, and set all the chopped ingredients aside.
  3. Dice 1 cup of your choice of deli meats, such as turkey or salami, and crumble ¾ cup of cheese, either Parmesan or mozzarella. Add these to the mixing bowl with your dressing.
  4. Gently add all the prepared vegetables, diced deli meats, and cheese to the bowl with the dressing. Toss everything together until well coated.
  5. Serve immediately for the freshest taste or refrigerate for about 30 minutes to let the flavors marinate together.
