  • 4 slices pepperoni customize with favorite deli meats
  • 4 slices turkey customize with favorite deli meats
  • 4 slices provolone cheese mozzarella or cheddar are alternatives
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese consider pecorino for a different option

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  2. Add the shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, and banana peppers to the bowl. Toss gently until all ingredients are coated in the dressing.
  3. Layer the sub rolls with salami, pepperoni, and turkey slices, followed by provolone cheese.
  4. Preheat the broiler to high. Arrange sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and meats are crispy.
  5. Carefully remove sandwiches and place sliced tomatoes on top, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Generously spoon the prepared grinder salad onto each sandwich and finish with a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Close the sandwiches gently and serve, cutting in half if desired.
