Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine your chosen marinade ingredients for the Korean BBQ Pork Ribs—either Sweet Savory or Spicy. Coat the baby back ribs thoroughly with the marinade and let them marinate in the refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours.
  2. Preheat your oven to 325°F (or 300°F for convection oven) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the marinated ribs meat-side down and pour any remaining marinade over them.
  3. Cover the baking sheet tightly with foil and bake the ribs for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender. Check by inserting a fork—if it glides in easily, the ribs are ready.
  4. If using the sweet marinade, remove excess liquid from the baking tray and bring it to a boil in a saucepan, reducing for 10-15 minutes to thicken.
  5. Broil the ribs at 500°F for about 5 minutes on each side, or grill them over medium heat, basting with the thickened marinade until caramelized.
  6. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, slice between the bones, and serve with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.

Notes

Ensure you remove the thin membrane from the ribs before marinating for better flavor absorption. Shorter marination times won't achieve the desired depth of flavor.
