Preparation Steps
- Marinate the fish by whisking together olive oil, fresh lime juice, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Coat tilapia fillets in the marinade and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, about 400°F. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the marinated tilapia fillets for 3-5 minutes on each side until flaky. Remove and let rest for 2 minutes before breaking into large flakes.
- Warm corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet for about 30-60 seconds on each side to make them pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by spreading a layer of Mexican crema or sour cream on each tortilla, adding the grilled tilapia flakes, red cabbage, avocado, cilantro, and lime juice.
- Serve immediately on a platter with extra lime wedges.

Notes
For the best experience, assemble tacos just before serving, as tortillas are best enjoyed fresh and warm.
