Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by chopping the cabbage, green onions, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, and ginger into small, uniform pieces.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the hot oil, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped shiitake mushrooms and cabbage to the pan, tossing everything together. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Pour in 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce over the stir fry, mixing well. Allow the mixture to cook for another minute.
  7. Remove the stir fry from heat and serve immediately, ideally over a bed of cauliflower rice.
