Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the hot skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Brown the meat for about 3 minutes without stirring, then break it up and continue cooking until fully browned, about 2 more minutes.
  3. Introduce 1 medium diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3 minutes until it is soft and translucent.
  4. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add 4 cups of cubed potatoes, 1 cup of beef broth, and 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and cover the skillet.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally and checking for tenderness.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary before serving.
