  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
For Serving
  • 4 pieces Pita Pockets flour or whole wheat options
  • 2 cups Lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 cup Cucumbers sliced
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese omit for dairy-free option
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce can substitute with yogurt mixed with herbs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 1 minute.
  2. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic in the skillet for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the beef is cooking, preheat the oven to 350°F. Warm the pita pockets in the oven for about 5 minutes or microwave for 30 seconds.
  5. Assemble each pita by adding the beef mixture and layering with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta cheese.
  6. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.
