Step-by-Step Instructions for Smashburger Quesadillas
- Heat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot.
- Lightly brush the outside of each tortilla with mayonnaise, if desired.
- Take a quarter of the ground beef and place it on one half of each tortilla. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- With the beef side facing down, carefully place the tortilla onto the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the underside is browned.
- Flip the quesadilla, sprinkle cheese on top of the beef, fold, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it cool for 1-2 minutes. Slice into triangles.
- Serve warm with toppings such as pickles, diced onions, and burger sauce.
