Ingredients
  

For the Steak
  • 1 pound tender steak (ribeye, flank or filet mignon) cut against the grain for tenderness
For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces spaghetti can substitute with gluten-free pasta or other types
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce use tamari for gluten-free option
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar maple syrup or agave nectar can be used
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha adjust according to heat preference
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for milder flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, fresh garlic is recommended
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil substitute with olive oil if necessary
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for searing the steak

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water for later, drain the pasta, and toss with a pat of butter to keep warm.
  2. Pat your steak dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper, drizzle with soy sauce, and allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the marinated steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Let it rest on a cutting board.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add soy sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing to coat. Slice the rested steak into bite-sized pieces and fold into the pasta mixture.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with sesame seeds or fresh parsley.
