Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes and honeycrisp apples into ¼-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a medium bowl, melt the salted butter and whisk in the dark brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until combined. Add salt and frozen lemonade concentrate; stir until smooth.
  4. Layer the sweet potato and apple slices in a buttered 9x13-inch casserole dish, then pour the caramel sauce evenly over the mixture.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, checking for tenderness at 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil in the last 8 to 10 minutes to allow top to caramelize.
