  1. Begin by finely chopping your fresh ripe tomatoes into small, bite-sized pieces. Place them in a fine strainer over a bowl, allowing the excess liquid to drain for about 5 minutes. Discard the drained liquid.
  2. Once your tomatoes are well-drained, transfer them to a blender. Add your chopped onion, cilantro, lime juice, and diced jalapeño. Sprinkle in cumin, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Pulse until you reach your desired consistency.
